PHOTOS AND VIDEO Several of my photos and video clips can be viewed through the American Whitewater web site (my photos, my videos). I currently have several thousand still images and several hours of digital video tape featuring runs from across the country (most in Washington State). In my photos and video I try to give a sense of place and provide a context that documents the image as unique to a particular river. I have completed a few video projects and I am currently making these available to members of the paddling community for a modest fee to cover the cost of media, packaging, and shipping ($10). These are not commercial productions but rather high quality amateur productions. Feel free to contact me if you have an interest in any of the following videos. These titles are only available in DVD format. I use a Macintosh G4 and DVD-R media to duplicate and distribute my films. These disks will play on most players but you can check the compatibility chart. Drop me a line if you are interested in any of these films. VIDEO PRODUCTIONS Washington Whitewater: A Little Backyard Fun. This video won Best of Show, Amateur Division, 2003 National Paddling Film Festival. This is a 7 minute film featuring runs throughout Western Washington. If you've seen my clips on the American Whitewater website and would like to view higher resolution versions you'll probably enjoy this. Skook 2001 & 2002. These are two short films (5 min each) on one disk with footage of the Skook wave. This is some great footage of the famous tidal wave on the BC coast that forms at Skookumchuck Narrows. I don't have any big air shots but I do have lots of surfing, spins, and blunts. A more ambitious project to document this great wave is in the works (more Skook info). Lost River 2002. The Lost River is one of the best true wilderness kayak trips in Washington State. The river flows through a remote and rugged gorge along the Canadian border and the only way to travel through is by kayak. In June 2002, Andy Bridge, Omar Jepperson, Pete Mattson and myself made a trip through this amazing place and this 20 minute film documents our journey (the story of the trip). Japan Whitewater 2002. In spring of 2002 I traveled with Harry House and Megi Morishita to visit old friends in Japan. We spent two weeks paddling Japan's most famous whitewater runs. I produced a 20 minute and 40 minute film from footage taken during this trip. Some clips from the video can be viewed on my Japan whitewater page.
