This section of the UP is best known for its two classic late-spring runs, the Presque Isle and the Black. Both provide big water and big rapids. We usually save them for the weekends after the smaller creeks start to become too bony to run. While many kayakers head to L'Anse to find spring creek runs, there are some less frequently explored creek runs in this part of the UP. Some, not listed here, have yet to be explored by kayak.
